To me richard parker is the split personality of pi so pi would be able to deal with the fact of eating another human-bieng and so that he would not feel guilty about the situation. This is smart of him because i feel that because he worships three religons he will not have to own up to what he did simply because richard parker.
I DIDNT REALLY ENJOY THE FIRST 100 PAGES OF TYHIS BOOK BECAUSE I DIDNT REALLY UNDERSTAND AND THEIR WAS NO MEANING TO THE STORY. BUT HOPEFULLY THE NEXT PARTS OF THE BOOK IS GOOD..
